Still fit, able and contributing

The larger society can and should manage Social Security as a universal insurance pool to provide for the care of the physically and mentally incapacitated of any age, but it has neither the means nor the moral obligation to guarantee any able bodied person a ten- to thirty- or forty-year fully funded vacation.  Most of us need to remain active contributors to the real-wealth economy as long as we are able.
