Per capita CO2 emissions in China are at 6.5 tons, while the figure for the U.S. is nearly 3 times higher, at 16.7tons.  With global population expected to rise to about 8.7 billion by 2035, carbon emissions with need to be at no more than 2.3 tons per capita by 2035.
