The 10 largest meat companies, measured by their 2011-2013 sales are headquartered in just 6 countries.  JBS (Brazil), Tyson Food (U.S.). Cargill (U.S.), BFR (Brazil), Vion (Netherlands), Nippon Meat Packers (Japan), Smithfield Food (U.S. but acquired by China's Shuanghui International Holdings in 2013), Marfrig (Brazil), Danish Crown AmbA (Denmark), andHormel Foods (U.S.).
